Winners of the German Debate Championships 2009
This is the introduction page for all international visitors on our website. Its purpose is to inform on upcoming debates within the English Debate Series and provide the ability to get in contact with us.
The Debattierclub Magdeburg is a two year old organisation with the goal to spread sportive debating at the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg and the Hochschule Magdeburg-Stendal. In the past our main objective has been to take part debating tournaments on national level in German. Starting into our third year of debating with the beginning of 2009, we went to extend this by attending international intervarsities in Bremen, Amsterdam and Newcastle upon Tyne. These activities led to the idea of having an independent debate series in the English language as a new way of debating experience and preperation for international tournaments outside of the context of the German debate series.
The English Debate Series for the winter semester 2010/11 has not started. Contact us, if you're interested.
